FAQ
Everyone has questions.
As an experienced professional, it's my job to have the answers. Here’s a list of common ones to save you a little time.
SETTING UP YOUR APPOINTMENT
If you have a question for the shop prior to submitting a formal booking form, feel free to reach out via email (livin.designs.liv@gmail.com) to submit your inquiry.
Please submit a booking form for your state and I will reach back out to you within 48-72 hours. Once we find a date that works for you, we will then take a deposit and add you to the calendar.
PORT CHARLOTTE, FL BOOKING FORM
I do accept walk-ins if there is not currently someone scheduled on the day you’re looking to come in. You can always contact me via email to see if we have any space on that day, and if there is not we can create an appointment for you.
In order to get tattooed by me, I recommend booking through our booking form.
FLORIDA
The State of Florida has mandated under Chapter 64E-28, Florida Administrative Code, that no one under the age of 16 years old may get tattooed. Anyone that is 16 or 17 years of age must receive consent as documented and notarized on the state-mandated form linked below.

Liv did such a great job with tattooing me a sentimental piece! She continuously made sure I was comfortable and pleased with her work. I highly recommend her for any tattoo you might want.

Had a great experience with Livin' Designs. For my first tattoo I felt very welcome and it was obvious that client comfort was a top priority. The artwork was stunning and just what I wanted.

Tattoo pricing can significantly vary depending on size, complexity and placement. In our conversation regarding your booking I will do my best to give price estimates, but that is exactly what they are, estimates. I recommend you over-budget in case the process takes longer or there are some last minute additions to the design.
The cost varies on the size of your tattoo, the complexity, and where you put it on your body. My minimum is $150 for anything an hour or less. My hourly rate is 160/hr.
I am aware getting a tattoo is an investment and I am always willing to work with you if you're under a budget. Shoot me a message when you submit your booking request and we can schedule multiple sessions or give you some different ideas/options that will fit your budget.
Tips are always appreciated, but not required.
I will spend hours drawing and preparing for a tattoo before you come for your appointment. Deposits help to ensure you make it to your appointment and that I have not done hours of work for nothing.
BEFORE YOUR APPT
You’re more than welcome to bring one guest, but we may ask that they remain in the waiting area during your appointment if there isn't available space in the artist's area.
Tattooing is not a quick process, nor should it be rushed as you will be living with the results permanently. An averagely complex piece of work about the size of the back of your hand, usually takes about two hours to complete. Larger or more complex pieces can take tens of hours, and will require several sittings to complete.
Depending on where you're getting tattooed, I may recommend you wear something specific, otherwise make sure you wear comfortable clothes that allow access to the area being tattooed and maintain as much coverage as you are comfortable with.
I recommend drinking water regularly, moisturizing the area you will be getting tattooed for about 1-2 weeks prior to your appointment.
I recommend being well rested on the day of your appointment and making sure you have showered (do not shave the area, I will do this for you to insure no trauma is caused to the skin prior to tattooing). Be well hydrated and eat a full meal prior to arriving for your appointment.
Don't forget to bring your government issued photo ID (or I won't be able to tattoo you).
AFTER YOUR APPT
I will give you after-care instructions after you're done with your appointment.
Some rule of thumbs are:
Use unscented antibacterial soap to wash your tattoo (dial soap recommended).
Pat dry your tattoo with a clean paper towel, do not wipe.
Apply a thin layer of A+D, Aquaphor, or a designated tattoo balm. (Tattoo balm is highly recommended).
Do not soak or submerge your tattoo. Stay out of chlorine pools, salt water, and avoid sun exposure while the tattoo is healing.
Don't pick at scabs or scratch your tattoo when itchy.
